Pomp & Circumstance is a small production operation run out of the studio of textile and embriodery enthusiast Meghan Arlen. Pomp & Circumstance was created in 2013, with the aim of providing expertly-fashioned bow ties to gentlemen and ladies who truly appreciate detail, quality, and consumer ethics.
Our neck wear is often created with features that are novel (or at least very rare) to the bow tie world- such as embroidery and hand-printed fabrics. They are created using materials that are often repurposed, vintage, or deadstock, remaining conscious and caring of the environment.
They are a delight to behold and even a greater delight to wear!
We Create Items That Are:
You can rest assured your bow tie was made well (a detail-attendant perfectionist was at the other end of it). We've worked and reworked the patterns, the process, the product and have come to a place where we're really quite pleased with ourselves: they just can't get much better.
Like... extremely limited. Because we take on the search for amazing secondhand and deadstock fabrics, this means we frequently deconstruct items from fabric which are only large enough to make 4 to 10 items in that fabric. The occasional times we use new fabric, we stick to this principle: always less than 30. Therefore you can have the satisfaction of knowing that any P&C item you come to own will only be owned by a select few other individuals in the world. Talk about rare.
